About The Lecturer
Jon-Patrick (J.P.) Jones is an associate at Seifert Zuromski LLP who works on matters across the firm’s practice areas. Mr. Jones has experience in a wide variety of real estate and business cases in both federal and state court including commercial lease disputes, partnership disputes, construction defects, boundary-line disputes, and various other matters.
Mr. Jones earned his law degree from the Santa Clara University School of Law. While there, he participated in several activities to develop and refine his litigation skillset including the Honors Moot Court Internal Competition as well as the California Lawyers Association Negotiation Competition. Mr. Jones also received a CALI award for earning the highest grade in Appellate Advocacy.
While studying at Santa Clara Law, Mr. Jones worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable Vanessa A. Zecher of the Santa Clara County Superior Court where he assisted with several high-profile homicide cases, including Santa Clara County’s last death penalty case. He also worked as a Bar-Certified Law Clerk for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California where he represented the United States in prosecuting a wide variety of misdemeanor offenses ranging from fraud cases to probation violations.
Before joining Seifert Zuromski LLP, Mr. Jones worked at a boutique law firm in San Jose that specializes in real estate and business litigation.
